Demolished:

15 multi-family buildings (110 units)
36 commercial structures (121 businesses)

Affected an estimated sixty percent people of color.

Much of the federal funding was approved two decades ago.

Construction took place in a few phases, lasting over a decade.

Pushed by the area's Congressmember William Thomas, who retired in 2007.
