Word has it that UP is going to remove the old brick locomotive shop building in Sparks to make room for more container storage. This event may happen as early as June this year. Last fall a video was produced by someone trying to muster support to save the structure. There has been silence ever since. The structure is not in a good location for any re-adaptive use other than a warehouse or machine shop. UP sold the building to a private individual but retained title to the land. Anyone out there need used bricks ? ?
