This is so neat DBA. Thanks for sharing it! My brother and a close friend of his, referred to Hughes Air West as "Hughes Air Worst" in 1979! At least we know our friend TAH had nothing to do with it! I am sure that Golden West Airlines was no relation to Golden West Services, that rebuilt and re-painted a bunch of ex-SP Boxcars into the Blue Paint Scheme in the early 1990s. I'm glad I rode the D&RGW Rio Grande Zephyr, Train #17 in September of 1982 from Denver to SLC. I especially remember riding in the ex-UP full length Dining Car they had on the train, that was some of the best food and service I ever had on a Passenger Train. Keep sharing these great pictures you have taken that are now history.
