Every time I visit Santa Cruz, I am reminded that CA-1 is a nightmare during rush hour and that there are nearly no alternatives to get between SC and Watsonville. I cannot understand why frequent (2/hour) service on this rail line has not been a higher priority for the county and the state. I am sure this could be done for a fraction of the cost of adding lanes to the hwy.
