UP only has 3 Train Dispatching Offices left in the whole Network. They are the HDC, Spring Texas and Carnegie Drive in Loma Linda (really San Bernardino).
Rumor to us at the Union is, when the lease on the Loma Linda Office expires, BNSF won't re-new it and the BNSF DS's will go back to Ft. Worth and the 2 UP D's will go back to Omaha HDC. In the meantime, we wouldn't be surprised if they are hiring before the move is made. UP's long term goal is to have all Ds and TTD's located at the HDC. Late last year, they quietly shut down the Kansas City Dispatching Center Office.
