Reportedly: SP 4450 was built in April 1954 by EMD as a model SD9, builders number 19452, SP 5363, SP Class DF-120. In 1965 it was renumbered to SP 3822, EMD SD9, SP Class EF618-1. The unit was upgraded on November 23rd, 1973, emerging as SP 4450, SP Class EF618E-2. The disposition of this locomotive is, retired on March 26th, 1997; donated to the Golden Gate Railroad Museum at Hunters Point, San Francisco in 1998; sold to the Feather River Rail Society in 2005. It became property of the Western Pacific Railroad Museum at Portola, California where it was scrapped in August 2013.
