Here's a photo of Morrison-Knudsen workers replacing the bridge after the 1964 floods.

The NWP was a very expensive railroad to keep open and, with declining freight revenues, the numbers stopped crunching. Santa Fe had a partial interest in the line in the early years and eventually bailed out.
