According to Amtrak service alerts seen at transitdocs, they had to call out another locomotive (are there spares in ABQ?) after a mechanical crew (also from ABQ?) couldn't buff it out enough to continue. Train left Lamy 7:15 late, just after 8 PM MT.
So there was enough damage to take the locomotive OTS, but not enough to derail the train (for which we should be thankful). Presumably they'll flag down something westbound to drag the damaged locomotive back to ABQ for further TLC? Or can something with that kind of damage be moved at all?
