40 mph *is* high speed compared to the 15-25 mph most "industrial leads" operate at. Can more than one freight train be on the line at the same time (i.e. are there passing sidings)?

The "high" speeds will be helpful for clearing grade crossings more quickly at the roads along the way. All of the freight line (as I understand it) is at grade, even where light rail is grade separated.
