Maybe, it's because these folks are willing to contribute their money and their efforts to restoring this engine actually "like" trains and have the desire to see this locomotive preserved and restored to operation.

I know that this might seem to be very hard to understand, at least for some folks who don't really seem to like trains that much.

But it is probably pretty easy to understand for most of the real folks on AP who actually like trains.
