Work Environment
Dispatchers work eight-hour shifts in an office environment. Since train operations and maintenance occur around the clock, dispatchers’ shifts include nights, weekends and holidays.
Locations
Dispatchers work at two locations across our system: Fort Worth and Spring in Texas. Most dispatcher jobs are located in Fort Worth

Responsibilities
Dispatchers manage safe and efficient train operations and coordinate when maintenance can be safely performed, in compliance with railroad rules and regulations. They prioritize and plan train routes to ensure timely, safe and damage-free delivery for customers’ freight. Dispatchers have an
assigned territory that can range in size from 12 to 1,000+ miles. Candidates must be detail-oriented and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. New Dispatchers will be provided with company-paid, on-the-job training.
