Bill Beecher

Retired Milwaukee Road C&M Division Locomotive Engineer Bill Beecher passed away at about 7PM tonight at St Lukes Hospital in Milwaukee,WI. His sons Bill Jr and Marshall were at his side.
I know that Bill had loads of friends in the Railfan community and the industry and we all send our deepest sympathy to his family as Bill will sorely be missed.

Bill hired out on the Milwaukee back in the 60's in Milwaukee Terminal as a Fireman was promoted in the 70's. Bill transfered to the C&M Division and worked as an Engineer betweem Milwaukee and Chicago. Bill also spent time working the "Scoots" between Fox Lake and Chicago.
His career spanned the SOO takeover and he retired from the CPR a few years ago.
