I like the fact that we can share great photos like this without the heavy hand of web sites such as Railpictures, which would have probably turned it down because the train is in shadow. Shadow or not, it's still an impressive image for the other detail it captures and for the history it represents.

Sites like Altamont Press, or New England Rail with its North American and New England photo collections, offer the average railfan a much better opportunity to display their shots, no matter how mundane or imperfect they may seem to some. SOMEONE out there will enjoy them.
