Is it safer to jump into the river head first or feet first?

I prefer to do a cannonball jump because your energy is absorbed on impact and you don’t go very deep. Just tuck your head in. Also don’t jump into a river naked, butt first, or you’ll get an ice cold enema. Witnessed a friend do that somewhere in Wyoming or Montana in about 1978.
