There was a Las Vegas Fun Train, back in the summer of 1976 ( ??? ) It ran Los Angeles to Sin City on Fridays, and returned to L.A. on Sundays. It was discontinued after 1 summer season due to low ridership and Amtrak needing the equipment elsewhere. Someone here at Altamont Press posted a picture of it at Santa Fe Summit. In later years Amtrak used to run an extra Superliner coach between L.A. & Las Vegas.
