Can't say much about Auburn, but the Tacoma yard has been quite empty for sometime now.

UP has a couple of tracks full of boxcars that haven't moved in a long time.

Tacoma Rail just took another cut of WRKR well cars down to Centralia / Grand Mound area. There are now about 5 miles worth of well cars, nearly all of them former SP and ATSF 48' cars recent re-lettered WRKR at CEECO. Rumor is they have plans to fill up the line with about 16 miles worth of well cars.
