The derailment at Ottumwa, IA caused the Amtrak California Zepher #5 on Saturday to detour via Kansas City. It was running 4 1/2 hours late at Denver. Made good time and arrived Emmeryville, CA 1 1/2 hours behind. The scenery is spectacular this time of year along the Colorado River to Grand Junction. Very light traffic all of the way.
