Old ATSF Crash at Duoro, NM

Does anyone know how to find information about old wrecks?

I found these old box cars next to the TRANSCON in eastern NM near Duoro (MP 768.4) and I am just curious to know more about how they got there. It looks to me like a wreck that occurred decades ago. There are two south of the tracks and one north of the tracks, I have more photos that I did not post.

Thanks in advance for the help. It really is just a curiosity thing since I came across them about 10 years ago and then I was back there yesterday.
