Movement on the Mococo

This afternoon (Sunday) about 2:15 p.m., I saw headed east on the Mococo line toward Avon, three big units --- a C44 and two SD70aces --- with one box car (FRED-equipped). Not sure why mainline units would be on this line, unless they were headed east to retrieve stored cars on the old main between Brentwood and Tracy. Anyone have any insight on this? I can't chase them myeslef today, sadly ....
