Trainnews - volume 2 - issue 150 - 06/23/09

TODAY'S PHOTO

One of the last freights to pass down the narrow Third Street corridor in
Downtown Oakland, CA. Here passing through the Produce distribution area at
3rd and Webster Streets. Soon these old WP tracks, will be gone as well as
the old diamond crossover at 3rd and Adaline that allowed UP to cross the SP
and enter their yards. The SP will become the UP and the entire West Oakland
area will be changed. (sadly!).
