How I see it. Those that are not near a large population of people, or are not on the beaten path, are hurting the most. Those that are in the middle or nearby large population centers, and are on the beaten path are seeing rising ridership. Also, those that have a proper marketing team, and are actually willing to spend the money on marketing, are doing rather well.

heres the thing folks.

Familys, kids with hot mommies (and face it, thats where the money is) for the most part, at this time, do not want to spend $6000 to go to Hawaii. They would rather stay close to home, and spend no more than $100 for something new and interesting.

About foamfest2009. Thats hardly a tourist operation. Its a special event. Its a dancing bear that you dont get to see often, so of course the numbers are through the roof.
