The trestle burned in '76 (I remember the smoke climbing out of the woods, visible from Santa Cruz). Bad day all around.

For several years RCBTNGRR was talking about rebuilding the trestle but using steel pylons, made in Holland, that looked like wood, right down to the texture and smell.

I guess the $$$$ to do that never happened...
