The original July 3rd closing date for CEECO (Tacoma, WA) has come and gone, but activity continues. The second White Pass narrow gauge locomotive was rolled off the property this past weekend and their are a couple of Canac GP9's left. Perhaps the most interesting left on the property is the Chehalis Western Alco C415ze (Zero Emissions).
How do you make an Alco Zero Emissions? You remove the power plant of course! So take a look a this now rare bird all painted up in a fine new paint job, with only one place left to go, on display in the City of Fife, just a few blocks away.

One of the Canac units was getting it's long hood re-installed yesterday. It clearly has no motor and hand drawn in the grime along the frame is the word "salvage". Anyone know what's to become of these two units.
Also visible on the property is the venerable E9, an F40 and the UP unit that was wrecked in Kansas back in 12/07. It got a cab transplant from a CN unit and appears about finished.
The last day of CEECO seems fast approaching.
