Californian in Mumbai

Well, if Paddington was OT - Mumbai is ROT... (be glad I didn't say FOT).

But, for those interested in a little bit of travelog from the guy who usually shares SD70Ms and Gensets... here are a few from Mumbai (I'll probably do one more post of these as I edit through the rest).

First is of an MEMU (Mainline Electric MU) that I was saw at Vasai Road with two Indian railfans who took me trackside. This is the location I'll have some more pics from later. The two guys who took me here were great. Nicest, most knowledgable railfans you could meet, and the location was like Fullerton meets Grand Central meets a BART station all combined.

Second is of an engine in front of the Western Railway Headquarters. It appears that this has only been put on dispaly quite recently.

Third is another display engine, this one in front of Mumbai Central Station.

And finally is Mumbai Central Station in a monsoon downpour. It was illegal to take pictures inside.

Thanks for looking,

Charles
