Mullan Tunnel

Reopening has been moved up to Monday, Aug. 3rd, trains and crews are being staged and most but not all, detours will be ending. (Overconfidence??) Empolyees are being called back to work. One big plus to the tunnel cave in is I'm told the summer trackwork elsewhere on MRL is way ahead of schedule due to the lack of interruptions by train traffic. May reduce need for work windows later this fall. Wonder if BNSF is watching this project with respect to Stampede Tunnel, as that tunnel was found to have a liquid center when they built it!!
