Another pedestrian killed while standing on the tracks (!!!) in the Columbia River Gorge tonight near Bingen, Wash. This site has been the place where many fatalities have occurred in recent years, and BNSF has MULTIPLE warning signs and even a chainlink fence in place. Once again, people standing on the tracks watching windsurfers on the river. the train saw them, blew its horn, and nearby people were yelling at the people to get out of the way -- but they didn't hear. Everyone thinks they will hear trains "a mile away." When will people learn? This is like standing on a highway. Result - one dead. that makes about a dozen pedestrians killed in the last 10 years at this site...
