It is very sad to read of Conductor Reed Jackson's passing. Although many people are involved in the operation of the excursion trains, Reed was the face of UP to the passengers on board. He and the rest of the Steam Team traveled all over the vast Union Pacific system. In chatting with him on the Western Heritage Tour earlier this year, Reed seemed to recall details of many previous excursion trips he worked. Obviously, somebody who enjoyed his job. He will be missed.
