I suggest that those who are worrying the most are the insiders at NCRA-NWP, whose operations will soon see the light of day. I'm sure they wish they could find a way to put the whole project on hold for about 5 years, ergo until SMART emerges from the cocoon.
I do worry about stuff. I worried about BART broad gauge in 1966. I was right.
Right now I am worrying about the CHSRA's stupid(imho) decision to shun the Grapevine. I am certain they will come to regret in spades that they did not walk every inch of that apparently unique alignment that crosses the San Andreas on the surface. I do not what the honchos say(these are the same guys that gave us broad gauge)the Tehachapis detour will add on a fatal half hour. It's a shame Shwarzie is so mediocre - he is the only one with the clout to induce Kopp & Co. to do a painstaking re-evaluation of the Grapevine before plunging ahead on the eastern front.
One thing I am definitely not worrying about is the fate of the NWP. I have been watching it in systematic decline for four decades. Calling Dr Kevorkian.
