I agree it would be nice to see an original V&T locomotive up there, but I doubt the Inyo would be the best choice. When the NSRM does operate it, they do at reduced boiler pressure and the grades out at Mound House would be too great. However, #25 would seem a possible choice and, with more work to finish its restoration, so would #27. As I recall, the only reason #27 was not returned to operating condition was the politics involved with who actually owned the locomotive.
