TODAY'S PHOTOS
BNSF's Coeur d'Alene Local rolls west past the Idaho Veneer mill in Post Falls, Idaho, on August 19, 2009, near milepost 4 on the Coeur d'Alene Branch. The last two mills in nearby Coeur d'Alene closed in recent years, so traffic on the branch is very light. The local is seen here with waste tubs for the IMCO recycling plant at Hauser Junction (where the branch connects with BNSF's Kootenai River Sub) and two loaded boxcars from the Potlatch particleboard plant on the east side of Post Falls. Idaho Veneer is shipping very little by rail these days.
