Working right next to the former NKP in Lakewood, Ohio isn't exactly a railfan's dream...you may see two or three trains per day on this part of the line-but when they do come it is normally in the afternoon and into the evening. That is why I always bring my scanner and radio with me to work just in case since the shift ends at 7. Well, yesterday I got in my car and turned my radio on and heard the detector going off a few miles down the tracks. I knew it wasn't already by and going east as I would have seen it, so I headed down the street to the Rocky River Viaduct and waited. About 5 minutes later, train 309 showed up with some rare foreign power to boot (on this line, anyways). Better lucky as I said. Hope you enjoy the result:
