Steps to Program Rail Scanner ( Newbie)

My name is Mike Clayton and I live in Indio, CA. I am a new member of the group, and I recently purchased a Uniden BC72XLT scanner.

I have visited various web sites trying to get information on the steps to program my scanner for rail scanning. I have the manual that has many program options. I am not clear on which ones I should be loading. I just purchased a Alamont #20 timetable.

Do I just load the frequency at the rail site?

Do I load the programs into the channels or banks?

Could someone give me the step by step to accomplish this?

It would be very helpful if I could discuss this with someone. If you would reply with your phone # I would like to talk to you. My cell phone # is 760-835-6891.

Please let me know if any members are going to be rail fanning this weekend in the area of Cajon Pass, Riverside, Barstow and so on.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike Clayton
