Huntington redux?
After 17 years, Pere Marquette #1225 and Nickel Plate #765 were reunited and working in sync on a charter sponsored by Lerro Productions. While both engines were reunited earlier in July, PM #1225 had a small hickup which required NKP #765 to fill in for the Trainfest runs. Having fully recovered, after receiving a flue transplant from MILW #261, both engines were reunited again, in August marking a 17 year anniversary. A well earned congradulatory pat on the back to the crew at SRI for getting #1225 in motion just 24 hours before the charter! And of course, thanks to all those who made this time trek possible, including but not limited to FWRHS, SRI, Great Lakes Central and Lerro Productions.
Enjoy!

Some interesting facts:
FWRHS has actually owned NKP #765 longer then the Nickel Plate Railroad had!
At one point, there was an effort to merge the NKP with not only C&O, but Pere Marquette along with the Erie. The above image proposes an interesting "what if"!
