Approaching Northwestern Station in Chicago from the cab car of a commuter train on the Northwest Division in early 1967. Sometime in the 70's the headhouse for Northwestern Station was demolished and a huge skyscraper was erected over the trainshed and waiting room. If my memory serves me, also the CTA line over the tracks was removed. So today, the tracks are still there, but the scene itself does not exist. In the last photo, the trainsheds can be seen just under the CTA bridge.
