Here is a piece of an email that has been circulating around. Sounds like they just are looking for an excuse to eliminate more jobs while they can.
After a business car trip by Senior Exec’s from Seattle-Vancouver-Wishram-KFalls earlier this week, the decision was made to reduce traffic over the mountain via the Stampede, Yakima Subs.
What this means is within the next 7-10 days, the pool is going to see little or no traffic and the INB2 will be planned to go via the Fallbridge and the mtys planned via the Fallbridge and Scenic subs.
There are no plans to reduce the class of track or to sell the subs, but the feeling is that there currently not enough traffic to be running on the subs.
The reason for this plan is that volumes have still not returned and the MOW on the Fallbridge and the Scenic subs are wrapping up for the year.
In short, the Yakima sub has always been an overflow line and there is still unused capacity on the Fallbridge and Scenic subs that need filled.
The plan is when volumes pick up or when MOW begins on the Fallbridge and Scenic to start running on the Yakima and Stampede Subs again.
