The Chehalis-Centralia Railroad Association plans to begin restoration of former Cowlitz, Chehalis & Cascade 2-8-0 #25 the week of Oct. 1. The CCRA retrieved the locomotive from Fort Borst Park in Centralia in August and hopes to make it operational alongside its former stablemate, CC&C 2-8-2 #15, which is currently the association's flagship locomotive.

The 2-8-0 is currently sitting outside on a siding adjacent to the CCRA shops, but will be moved inside for its rehab. It's parked alongside former Rayonier Lumber Co. 2-6-6-2T #8, which the CCRA is storing for a private owner after bringing it down from Shelton, Wash. earlier this year.
