For the first time in about a year there is an update to the website recording Doyle McCormack's remanufacturing of one of the former ATSF / DH PA1's rescued as a hulk from Mexico.

If you've never seen this site, I recommend you go through the entire photo gallery to get a sense of the amazing amount of work that has gone into this restoration. When the locomotive arrived from Mexico, it was little more than a shell without trucks, mechanical equipment, etc. (Another shell was also brought back to the states - reportedly to undergo cosmetic restoration for the Smithsonian)

If you have seen this site before, just go to the most this week's update to see current work on the sheet metal skirting and the characteristic rain gutter behind the cab.
