St Maries River Log Flats

I received a few photos yesterday showing the dismantling of the vintage (R-age) log flats used by the St Maries River Railroad. I had heard that they might be put out for scrap bid and apparently that has happened. There was also a string of empty gons on the rip and equipment tracks that looked like they were loading the scrapped cars into?? Big crane doing the job by the shop area.
A real sad set of photos and apparently the end of log hauling on this line. They had 350-400 ex Milwaukee Road friction bearing log flats in their fleet. I do not know if all will be scrapped, but the process has begun!
