The Dakota Southern is nothing to sneeze about and the Huff family is to be commended for its stewardship of the property over the years. It operates on the eastern two-thirds of the sleepy ex-Milwaukee Road branchline between Mitchell and Rapid City, SD, and once generated significant carloads. Someone on this list can better explain how BNSF unit-train requirements silenced grain loading on the line a decade or so ago (the shortline's only interchange is with BNSF at Mitchell) and why DSRC has been reduced to switching one customer in Mitchell.
