Hi, Carol...

Not part of Trainorders, but pertaining to your TO notes re: Big Game.

Grandfather: Percy W. Hall, Cal '99. Captain of the '98 team that beat Stanford for the first of two, consecutive Big Games to win the Tilden Trophy/Statue at Valley Life Sciences & Strawberry Creek.
Played 4 years football and 3 baseball.
Great friend of Brick Morse and Lynn Waldorf.
Civil Engr. state of California: Cut and fill surveys for Hwy 17 and designer (to his chagrin) of the road into Port Costa....but not much forgiving landscape to work with, then, either.
Worked with the SP lads at Fruitvale station for asphalt cars for Heafey/Moore construction...would take my mom and uncle to Martinez for tanks once in a while...allowed my mother to do some throttle work when in her teens.
See Percy's gear at Hall of Fame (inducted 1993) at Memorial Stadium.

Great-grandfather Perkins: SP roundhouse super. @ Tulare and then roundhouse foreman at Port Costa.

GO BEARS!

All the best! PWK
