Amtrak, BNSF, UP running late Sea - Portland

Thursday evening there was a bomb scare at the Steilacoom Ferry Dock, stopping boats, and trains until around 6:45 from what I heard on radio.

I was at the dock at 10:10 pm and Amtrak came south, definitely late. It had left Seattle about 9 pm, same time I left to head south on I 5.

Shortly after the SB Cascade came by, a light engine move NB came thru slowly with 3 Amtrak engines, two Cascades and one Amtrak unit like the Starlite uses. Sorry I'm not up on all types of units, etc.

Talked with KOMO TV crew that was still there, they said quite a few trains had been coming through since the scare was over.

While I was there, more police activity. 6 Pierce County Sheriff cars getting on the Anderson Island Ferry. There were 3 cars there when I arrived, two passed me enroute with lights and sirens on. The other 3 did the same as they approached.

So assume it must have been busy times for the dispatchers tonite.
