MLK rail will NOT pickup a lot of airport employees. Most of them commute from the Tacoma-Sumner area, including TSA operatives, via the Sound Transit 574 Bus.
The famous 174 Metro bus was crushed last September 1, 2009. It now only runs the "milk run" from Federal Way to the Link Station at 154th & International Blvd in Sea-Tac.
It no longer runs to the Airport at all. It no longer runs to Seattle.
Link will commence operations on December 19th at 10:00 am to the Airport.
In February-2010, the METRO 194 Bus will be completely cancelled. There will also remain the brand NEW Metro 124 Bus to Seattle from the Link Station at 154th & International Blvd.
It will cease going to the Airport forever. So the 174 and 194 will dissipate.
Pity the poor homeless person who will now have to "get a life" because the route referred to by many as "Metro Hotel" where they could sleep all night in cold weather will NOT be available anymore. Oh well !!
