UP Loyalton Branch

I had a need to drive from Portola to Loyalton today and was surprised to find that two of the three grade crossings on Plumas County Road A24 had been paved over in the last couple of weeks.
The branch's crossing closest to the UP Main and State Rte 70 has not been covered due to UP still using that portion for car storage but all other crossings to Loyalton have been covered with asphalt.
I always thought it would be cool if the Loyalton Branch could be acquired by the WPRR Museum. It would be a great line to run their WP 0-6-0 #165 when it's restoration is completed.
