Yes the British Columbia Railway was and is the most beautiful railway in North America. Used to look forward every year going on the Budd car trips in February sponsored by the West Coast Railway Association from North Van to Lillooet. Did ride the circle trip once from North Van to Prince George via BCR then VIA to Jasper and back VIA to Vancouver in 1988.

Another fond memory was having a railway police ask what we were doing around the freight house in North Van and when we said we were interested in trains he said we could probably get a cab ride from the yard switcher working under the Lions Gate Bridge, and we did.

I really miss the BCR :)
