The rail between St Maries and Clarkia remains in place as does the rail further south over Sherwin summit to the "Collins" crossing of the highway near Bovill, ID. They are currently scrapping all of the friction bearing log flats, fifty year old cars that were of Milwaukee Road origin. As far as i know they have not scrapped the 25 or so roller bearing log flats.
The cut up cars are loaded into gons and hauled to Plummer, ID and transferred there to the UP for the ride into Spokane. No trains have run on the Clarkia Branch Line for several months and all equipment that was between Clarkia and St Maries has been brought back into town. But the rail is still in place......hopefully it will stay that way!! <;>)
