I am not sure of the dates, but it had been my understanding that the diversion dam near Floriston was not destroyed by the flood but was blown up (with some fanfare)in order to facilitate movement of fish up and down the river. It fed the flume on the I-80 side of the Truckee which was later destroyed in the flooding. The flume on the far side of the river and in the photo is still active and feeds a small plant inside Nevada near Verdi.
