Judging by the type of cars ( CoalPorter gondolas w / no bottom outlets ) and units ( Big SD - 45 / SD - 45 -2's), I'd say it was a York Canyon to Kaiser Steel Fontana coal train. This operation would have only recently converted from using Alco RSD - 15 ' Alligators ' and / or EMD SD - 24's for power.
