Coast Line traffic?

I have to work next weekend in Aptos, CA and will be driving down from the Bay Area Thursday morning and will have an afternoon to kill. I am going to try to check out Watsonville and potentially Salinas. What is traffic like these days? I know the Santa Cruz branch is dead, but are there other locals to potentially look for and what mainline UP traffic could I potentially see? I have not been down there in at least four years, so I am kind of out of the loop. Thanks for any info provided!
