Amtrak's First Winter on Donner

Amtrak's first December with the FP units which had returned with the onset of Amtrak's operation. #6446 is Westbound at the Summit on the now gone #1 track with the rear of the train still in the tunnel and the wooden snowshed covering the entrance. #6454 Eastbound approaching Norden. Note the ice hanging from water fill openings.
