Nepa is a CP station name on the Thompson Subdivision at MP 54.8, that is where the crossover is located. Basque is located at MP 56.8(CP) on the same sub which is 2 miles west of the crossover. When you come down the hill on Kirkland Rd(off of hwy 97C) you are at about MP 56.
The road back to Nepa is a real experience. The gate near Basque has been locked for a couple of years.

A lot of people don't understand that the area between Lytton and Kamloops is very very dry.
Supposedly Spences Bridge only gets 2-4 inches of precipitation annually. It was 114 degrees on July 28th of this past year in Spences Bridge.
